MISHA LULU: LOOKBOOK SNEAK-PEEK FALL 10
Happy Thursday! woo-hoo one day left for the weekend..i so look forward to them. Karen of Misha LuLu came out with a sneak peek on her blog for Misha LuLu Fall 10. like always the clothes are lovely and the illustrations are adorable. what little girl would not look sooo cute in them.
her editorials are always so colorful, playful and go very well with the designs. hands down Karen is my favourite childrens designer. i love her retro inspired clothes BUT it is very much Misha LuLu's own. every season she comes out with pretty vintage silhouettes interpreted in very wearable, comfortable, the best fabrics and of course all her very own illustrations.
this was just a peek from her blog i can't wait to see the rest!
for stores and where to buy go to MISHALULU.com and she also has a great blog where she finds the best designers, artist, family life, inspiration and all around intresting subjects at MISHALULUBLOG.com.

WEEK IN PICTURES: HANGING WITH MY FRIENDS
i've realized i have not done a Week In Pictures post in ages! which past examples of some are HERE and HERE and is something i've blogged on since the inception of my blog and traditionally wanted it to be part of it on a weekly basis.
so i'm going to be catching up on them and will be doing "past" Week In Pictures since I took the pictures in mind for a post.
this weekend my intention was to blog on Renegade, but I got caught up just having fun with my friends and did not chronicle it like i wanted to. i did buy an amazing necklace which i can't wait to show off and have now added this shop to my favourites on Etsy!
here are just a few from my Sunday outing, I wanted to show off my lovely friends; i feels so blessed to have met them in a vast city like L.A.!
Jen and I had matching Strips, very Americana...
went for some boba tea in China Town..
the best Matcha Green Tea Boba!
i had a good time discovering new artist and crafters at Renegade, i wanted to buy so much art, really would love one day to splurge on art..
my love of old buildings

OUTFIT POST: SUMMER DAYS
I LOVE Saturdays. i started my day off by heading to the farmers market and hitting up Gloria, the best tamale maker in town..that was breakfast and it was soooo yummy. i pretty much have tried all types of food, and i have to say i never tire of Latin food. i'm originally from Honduras so i grew up with it all my life, it's so full of flavor it's the best! i think that's why enjoy Indian food so much, because of all the spices.
i also ended up buying an Aloe Vera plant as well, as you may notice you can see a bit of my leg injury and i hear Aloe is the best remedy for healing it and to have less scarring. then i hit up Peets Coffee, their coffee hits my brain big time. i forget all i need is a small cup of their drip coffee. i was on caffeine overload pretty much all day..
so with my little morning outing and it's heat, i decided on a nice flowy floral top with cut Levis. i pretty much have had to wear skirts, dress's and shorts all week because my injury was so painful. i have been living in this hat this summer, i've had it for 3 years and barely wore it until now; Zoe hates it, not sure why?! the woven slings i found in a thrift store in my recent San Diego trip in two colors, the brown ones i'm wearing and black (as seen in my previous outfit post).
i'm hitting Renegade Craft Show tomorrow, i'll need to find another comfortable summer outfit since it's an out door event. it's a scorcher in L.A. right now, at least there's no humidity unlike Miami where my Zo Zo's at...
outfit: vintage 90's floral top (in shop now), cut up Levi jean shorts

shoes: vintage 80's woven sling backs

BELLA NEWS
Yay Happy Thursday! i am quite impressed i stayed on track with my blog..that was one goal i had set up for this week and am happy to have accomplished it. next is my store, really it should come first but it's tough when i only have about three hours at night to work on it. but with only one more month left before Zoe gets back, I need to get on track on all the updates and squeeze in as much work as possible. it gets allot more hectic when the full load of juggling motherhood, full time job and part time job are in full swing.
i do have a few announcements to tell. i am working on one of my biggest updates ever, with over 80 items being photographed with a new model next weekend. this whole weekend is my time of preparation and i am excited! the model is the cutest blogger and has many amazing talents, which you'll hear more about next week.
all the pretty patterns coming soon..
a wonderful friend and graphic designer is currently building and designing our landing page for bellavintageshop.com! it will be a nice addition for the easier navigation to our shop, blog and social sites. it will also have an about me section which will be nice to share my story on how i got into vintage clothing and into fashion design. it also paves the way to eventually setting up shop with a few of my own designed pieces (but that's still a bit down the road)..
i also will be taking the time to finally finish more designs for my skeleton key necklaces that i hope to hit the shop by next week. i will have a variety of designs, long pieces, short pieces and in different metals, yay..
i'm looking forward to Renegade Craft Show this weekend. i hope to meet bloggers and some of my favourite crafters. i will for sure be taking lots of photos and finally revive "My Week In Pictures" post once again..
wishing you a good night!

MID-WEEK INSPIRATION: PIONEERS OF STYLE
Happy Wednesday! i'm happy it's mid-week and am already looking forward for the weekend. i am going through a bit of a roller coaster ride with juggling work, work, organizing and fun. i'm still nursing the leg and am hoping i won't be limping no more by Saturday, because i will be doing allot of walking at the Renegade Craft Show in the corn fields by China Town L.A..looking forward to seeing what wonderful bloggers i may run into as well as crafters too!
i needed a brain off moment and was thirsty for inspiration. i see my blog as a diary of all that i love and work on, so i'm constantly recording those whom i get inspired by artistically. for a few weeks i will be posting those who shaped my desire to become a fashion designer and those who filled my eyes to love vintage.

STEPH IS THE BEST!
Happy Tuesday all! i was excited to hear that our adorable model Stephanie has been in recent editorials other then Bella for some brands the company we work for designs. unfortunately i don't have the prints to show off because they are copy righted and protected, but i wanted to toot her horn and say how cute she looks in the ads. our company has a brand called Hoodie Buddie, which some of you might have heard of already. for those who haven't, it is hoodies with built in head phones compatible for most all music players. Zoe loves hers, it's pretty much the perfect invention for a teenager!
we love our model!
go check Steph out at the website HoodieBuddie.com, you'll recognize her cuteness right away! she also did one for Paul Frank, and again i can't show those off neither but that's ok, i'm just glad she's gotten other opportunities for modelling.
and a little plug, if you purchase a HoodieBuddie.com now through the 31st you get 3 free downloads from Amazon.com, and if you "Like Them" on Facebook you get a discount too! i have to say if you run, exercise, skate etc..this hoodie sure becomes handy and convenient. we are rolling out some really cute designs along with some Betty White ones which you'll see at the website.
i also wanted to THANK Steph for all that she's done for Bella! she has been such a great supporter and not to mention model and we want to say we appreciate you and love you! your the best!

OUTFIT POST: BACK TO MY ROOTS
Happy Monday! wow already the start of a new week. i have been nursing an injury from the fall i took at my yard sale from the hill top of my lawn. i fell about 4 feet from the ground and scraped the side of a concrete wall, OUCH! i was and am in ALLOT of pain, but that's how it goes; you just never know how your day will go and end. is OK!
this outfit post flashed me back about 17 years. this pretty much is an outfit i wore back when i was 16, the only difference is that i would have been wearing vintage mens pants and vans.
the suspenders are my original ones that i've had since i was a teenager. i never thought of using them again and actually handed them down to Zoe since she wanted a pair. but just as suspenders were used to hold your pants up, i used it to hold the skirt up, which fit a little big; it came back in handy and borrowed it back from Zo's closet!
the outfit pretty much sums up California living, very casual and very surf / skate inspired. all styles have some root influence. i was about to place the vintage woven sling backs in the shop, but i took a liking to them and think they just may stay mine...
skirt: vintage 90's (in store now)
tee: target
suspenders: my own from my teen years
shoes: vintage 90's woven sling backs
