GENTLE FAWN FALL FAVORITES

Happy mid-week! i'm sure most of you have been scanning all sorts of brands in anticipation for fall. i do my fair share of it and always have to reel myself in because the time suckage is maximum. Gentle Fawn is one brand that keeps getting better each season and their look books are getting tighter. i like their styling for fall and the model just goes so well with the collection. i love their brand name and logo too, sooo cute.

I have followed them for a few years now and i think this collection has caught my eye the most. they have grown the brand nicely. Here are some favorites:

LOVE MY BOOTS & JEANS

this summer i lived in the above boots, i wore them with everything; shorts, jeans baby doll dress's, maxi's you name it. i adore them! i actually had them in my closet for about 5 years untouched, and it wasn't until a photo-shoot where i styled it with an outfit that my model Steph raved about them and i realized how cute they looked on her. now after seeing no light for several years they are no longer looking sad in my closet.





Zoe has been doing all the photography, she's good but is still learning to capture all in the box. she took the close ups with out me asking her, she just goes with it but i have to reel her in because she goes a little too crazy with the picture taking, he he.



the Victorian inspired blouse has so many great details. i love the crystal clear rounded buttons and the boatneck silhouette with the crochet trim on the shoulders. those are the reasons i end up falling in love with vintage, details, details.

WEEK IN PICTURES: "CHICK NIGHT" & PARIS

Happy Monday all! this past week has been a very eventful one for me. it started last weekend with a vision of new opportunities and a mid week change of career paths. i am not changing careers, still working in fashion but i find myself now self employed; but i did not expect this soon. but this has been something on my heart God knows for a long time, but it still is a bit scary when you are a single mother relying on one income. i now lean on my rock Christ to push me full steam ahead!

it was nice to have a weekend full of friends, first starting with a welcome addition to me and Zoe's "Chick Night" our friend Rox. it was a night starting with great pizza and a old vintage $2 dollar theater to watch Eclipse. we were all giddy like school girls and had a blast together just being big nerds! loved every minute of it!





i was a bit bummed this picture came out dark, dang flash!..never know how good it looks at night using it! Rox and Zo look so cute..side note Zoe is pretty much taller then us!



this old theater came complete with gold pole decor, priceless star printed carpet and to top it off American flag and neon lights. Rox and I were digging it's radness. now they are all sleek and boring looking with no character.









then it was off to Bella's Birthday party! she wanted a Paris themed party, not your typical request from a 5 year old turning 6. My friend Karen 1/2 of Misha LuLu team out did herself with the help of friends with the decor; i had to share because i fell in love with it!

Karen made the Birthday Banner out of French Dictionary pages and the Pinata below was a Diego Pinato turned Knome, she's so creative!





the cookies and cupcakes not only look good but they were delicious!





their were mustaches in the party bags, "love it"! Bella looked great in hers!



the best balloon artist friend was there, he literally can do anything. it was a very fun filled weekend. so thankful, i needed it!

SHE IS A SKATER GIRL......

so this Saturday after a great breakfast with friends Zoemiester here wanted me to take pictures of her outfit. she loves comfort and throws on what ever she likes. she's not into following trends, thank goodness because that can get costly but she likes what she likes no matter what other's think. A+ for a girl going into teenage territory where girls can tear each other apart. that's one area that i'm passionate about, no trash talking and putting anyone down. i pray this strength continues.



she tends to steer towards the more skater / rocker style. she made me proud the other day when she asked me to take her thrifting to see if she can find something vintage she likes..tear. she's on the lookout for a vintage sailor hat and shrunken motorcycle jacket, if you happen to bump into one online send me the link it would be much appreciated.

THE ICE PRINCESS

Hello there on a hectic Tuesday day! this cutesy ice cream truck roams the streets of our town. i really think this is the cutest ice cream truck i have ever seen in the many years of running up to one to buy ice cream! The owner/driver had a matching apron all pretty and pink her mom made her too! I died of cuteness and the thought even crossed my mind to quit my day job so i can roam the streets in this truck. but naw i love fashion and vintage to much!

A DAY IN THE FOOTHILLS

Happy Monday all! last week me and the Zomiester went strolling in the mountain foothills of our town, we live in front of the San Gabriel mountains which has great trails for hiking up into the mountain. back in the day, 1800's to be exact, there was a resort where folks in L.A. would retreat too called The Sierra Madre Villa Hotel along with the restaurant pictured, which has now since become a closed down museum. The hotel is no longer there and was replaced with a golf course but it was nice to finally go exploring and peek into this cabin restaurant. hmm i wonder if there is some wonderful vintage clothes finds in there? it's literally just a few blocks away from where we live and Zoe was able to capture some really pretty pictures.


















Zoe has become quite the photographer! i love the one she took of the heart shaped bench and the one with my back to the camera.
