WEEK IN PICTURES

happy Sunday all! i'm bummed it's Sunday night already..i had soooo much to do and i only made a dent in it. i found myself sleeping more then working on bella, but at least i enjoyed the weekend. great bbq with le boyfriend and spending time with my Zoe.

in previous post i mentioned how much i enjoy photography as a hobby and now that i have discovered ways to play with colors i am really enjoying tweaking the photos i take. i really want to take a class to get better at it, but no way do i have the time now with all that i am juggling. but i believe practice makes perfect and with online tutorials & all the advice out there you can definitely pick up allot and just have fun with it and let your creativity flourish!

Zo & i took a stroll in our neighborhood today and these are the images we captured..she took all the ones of me, she's quite good!

i love how the sun peeks in these...

STYLE INSPIRATION

Photobucket

i grew up listening to Kim Wilde in the 80's, i could not get enough of "You Keep me Hanging On" & "Kids in America"; for all you clueless fans the song was used in the beginning credits of the movie. she was in my top favs along with Bananarama, Taylor Dayne & Madonna. woah flashback.....YES i loved all these woman musically, although a few years later Punk would take over my listening pleasures. i was a kid in the 80's and i emulated the style or more like dreamed of wearing some of the more grown up looks. i would of raided miss Wildes 80's closet and would of taken the black and white side buttoned down tee in the following pictures.

her gorgeous bone structure reminds me a bit of Debbie Harry along with the lips. i would of totally done the hair....although i did my own version of big wave hair in 5th & 6th grade...oooh i don't wanna go there....

DEAR CREATURES

i am completely in love with the clothing label Dear Creatures...i recently came across them and so far from the three seasons they have been out i am hooked! and will be following their line and hopefully purchasing an item from their fall o9 collection..

dear creatures fall o9

their editorial shoot is also amazing..i love the backdrop and photography style used which makes the clothes pop..the designers are Bianca Benetiz & Rob Sinclair..they are out of California..nice to see something different coming out from California.. they are obviously influenced by vintage and their inspiration for the season was the girl scouts (vintage girl scouts, if that makes any sense?!)..

I LOVE MY DRAPED CAPE!

vintage 80's draped jacket

hello there..i have not done a wardrobe post since the start of my blog back in February..long time..i was not sure how i felt about myself doing personal outfit post but i highly enjoy viewing others such as Kingdom of Style's queen Michelle & Marie and came to the conclusion that i do have fun sharing my own personal style and giving you a little glimpse on all my great vintage finds and my love of wearing it..

the above outfit is a great 80's fuchsia pink draped cape, with a great cut... i love the over-sized fit...the print is adorable big black bows toss print..i'm big on color it is an eye catcher..the black dress was once a long satin dress i cut short (i've had it since junior high), left it a raw edge hem and the shoes are platform sandals my mom got me a while back from payless...it is a bargain outfit!

WEEKEND FINDS

WOW almost a week since my last update, i truly am trying to keep a sense of consistency and well i wish the weekend was a little longer..i have so many needed updates and projects to do and it's hard to get it all done during the week with the limited time i have after work; but i soon will be conquering on keeping a set schedule for ALL...here's a little glimpse of my weekly need TO's DO's:

1. every other day Blog post
2. Friday Market Publique auctions (coming this week)
3. Saturday Etsy updates (working on at minimum 20 items)
4. during the week it's editing photo-shoot photos, revamping vintage garments and marketing and networking with my lovely clients and to be clients, branding the company.
5. and in between 1-4 i'm working on my own design of garments.
6. between 1-6 i am juggling motherhood to my Zoe.
