GETTING BACK TO BUSINESS

Hi guys! working on getting back to business as usual. the curve balls of life keep coming at us but we are fighting and getting threw them with many dear friends helping us through it all. although Zoe and i have an upcoming trip to Miami in two weeks to visit family, i will be working  hard to get back on schedule here on the blog and in the shop.

There are allot of exciting new things happening in growing our little business. when i say "our" i'm always talking about Zoe and I. my beautiful girl is as much part of my focus on being an entrepreneur, because as a single mom she has been by my side in making my goals a reality. it's as much hers as it is mine. 

So with that i am happy to introduce the name of our new vintage shop and soon to be coming small clothing label, gisela&zoe! there are two reasons for the change in name of bella vintage.  one, is because i wanted the brand to be under the same umbrella for business/tax, and branding purposes. and two,  because their is nothing out there close to our name. it was easy to get our url and everything else that needs to be set up. unfortunately there are tons of things close to bella vintage and i wanted nothing to be confusing or to be similar to our name. in many ways it's been a long journey because i've changed my vintage shop name twice; this one being the 3rd but last for sure! it's been a learning experience in the last few years and i'm also learning from many past mistakes.

the name gisela&zoe also has so much personal meaning within it too and is why i also chose it as our clothing label name. my name is not such a common name and well i chased my career goals always conscious in never compromising in the  raising of my daughter. it took a while getting to this point, because i never wanted to put my career ahead of her. thus came the creation of our label gisela&zoe and my dream of finally making clothes i love!

bella vintage will continue to operate as i transition into opening the new vintage  shop and also try to sell most of the vintage out of the shop. but we will be transitioning not only the store but the blog too. i can't wait till we get to the final point of this particular goal!

You can click and favorite our new shop meanwhile it opens next week. i will have sooo many cute dresses stocked up for this beautiful spring! i also have acquired to new wholesale warehouse sources chuck full of yummy vintage and can't wait to see what treasures i dig up to bring to you. it's all very exciting for Zoe and I!

CHECKING IN

Hi All!

I have been gone for a week, i hate when i go this long without blogging! i have so much to blog about and the post ideas just keep piling up. getting to the pile at this moment has been the challenge.

Production and sampling at Misha LuLu is on full force along with family coming in for Christmas and the endless rain that has been falling on California just makes things a little more hectic.

I will be working this week on trying to balance a better schedule.

GOODBYE'S ARE ALWAYS SO HARD TO DO

Happy Monday!...not so much for me because as you guys know Zoe is off in Miami..i was all nerves when she was on that red eye on Saturday night, i was not able to sleep until Sunday at 5:00 a.m. until she arrived safely in her Dad's hands.

so what this week entails for me to make these months fly by faster is lots of work and lots of hanging out with all my special gal pal friends...i was able to do this on Sunday with my pal Laura we went to the Melrose flea market to see what treasures were in the piles...i did get a perfect summer time dress which i'll be picking up next week..

mean time i will be posting lots on le blog and packing up the store with beautiful vintage garments perfect for summer which officially started today!

for tonight i will tweet to my Zola and hear one Justin Bieber song as promised in her absence...i'll do anything for that cutie, even listen to Sir Justin....he's not so bad..

ZOE & PHOTOGRAPHY

Happy Tuesday! i haven't been the best at blogging these last few weeks, it's been a struggle on keeping a strict to consistent schedule...i am working hard to getting on a good track and well with Zoe's departure this weekend this will give me more time to take on more work.

my baby is taking off to Miami to her dad's for an amazing summer full of family and friends..




i took these beautiful pictures of her before she left me to my lonesome..looking at these and pictures a month back she just keeps growing and changing literally over night..i can't imagine how much taller and different she will look 2 months from now when she gets back..wowza

she's been enjoying taking lots of pictures lately and has become quite the photographer, these are just a few of many that she took of lady bugs in our front lawn..




i will miss her soo..this week will be a bit slow for me in blog post and shop updates while i get Zoe ready for her big trip Saturday..i'm coming back with full gusto next week with lots of new photo-shoots, new model and lots of amazing new inventory to show off..

QUICK HELLO

Happy Monday! yay me and the Zo-miester are all settled in our new home and i am ready to start cranking out the blog post and vintage updates once again! this week the store will be filled with allot more cute vintage 90's dress's..they have been flying out the store..THANK you ladies..I can't wait to do a "chick night" post which I haven't done in ages because of all the hecticness.

Zo and I spent our night watching old skate videos..one a documentary about Christian Hosoi..she wants to start learning how to skateboard so i'm basically showing her the history of some of the most amazing professional skateboarders of our time..at the moment her favorite is Tony Hawk..of course, more relatable.

any-hoo we had fun taking these silly pictures..i hope you all have a lovely night and thank you ALL for the well wishes on our move!

MOVING!

so this weekend Zoe and I are on the move..i will be missing in action for a few days but i hope to be back to work and new items to be posted next week..we are so excited to move into our little cottage..pictures to come soon..after moving to Los Angeles we had to down grade to a one bedroom because the rents here are up the wah-hoo, but through many blessings and hard work we were able to FINALLY get a cute two bedroom place owned by my land lord...the property is right across the street so it won't be to hard of a move..i count my blessings..

MID WEEK HOWDY!

happy mid week guys! i am way behind on my blog post but i have a ton of material i am working on and the posts will be trickling in later this weekend..

i have been SUPER stressed out these weeks trying to be super-women and do it all, trying to juggle many things at the same time and get projects off the ground..i am trying to build my small business while i work full time in the morning as a designer in the junior apparel mass market..and also be a mom to my precious 12 year old kiddo Zoe..

my church had the best sermon on Sunday it was perfect timing and directly spoke to what i'm going through right now..for all those who might be struggling with this too here's the link if you like a listen: Reality L.A. (starve your worries) it made my heart take rest...

so i'm doing a little restructuring to better handle my night and weekend schedule..my Friday's is "chick night" and are totally of limits..this is the day i take rest with my Zoe and just have fun with no outside world distractions..so i'm one day less and have come to the conclusion that i will be putting the eBay auctions on hold for now, meanwhile i will concentrate on getting the Etsy store jammed pack with new items and full of great choices for you, just in time for spring and summer..

i had the best meeting this past weekend for a side project i'm involved in and i feel so privileged to work with some great women..i am excited for all the things that are in the works and i can't wait to share it with you as they evolve..

BELLA VINTAGE COLLECTION

hi guys! i am slowly catching up to the internet world, i am playing catch up for the 1 month i lost..i have allot i want to share and can't wait to share it! one of them being a sneak peek to the Bella Vintage Collection of hand made items which i am currently working on..

about a year ago i mentioned coming across a HUGE bulk of skeleton keys in which i intended making jewelry with..i am now currently working on different designs to bring to you in the start of March, both simple and complicated designs (lack of a better word)..
