Happy mid-week guys! as you can see i am staying put with Blogger for now, way to much on my plate currently and in the next coming weeks.

i wanted to change my Etsy avatar and asked my beautiful daughter to model a mini shoot for me. just wanted to get a shot of the outfit and Mod camera, both in my personal collection and adore. surprisingly i love how the vintage 70's dress looks better on her then on me! we had fun with it Zoe really let go and got into the shoot, although not her style. but boy she looks great in vintage! i wanted to share the photos  and how cute she looked in my dress and shoes. she is going to be an amazing future Bella Vintage model! that's right Zoe i got dibs on you first!

MOVING BLOG HOMES!

We are back! Zoe's weekend of pre-birthday fun was a huge success! we had so much fun with Grammy (Zoe's nickname for her Grandmother) and my younger brother. it was so hard to come back because we sure do miss our family since we have none here in Los Angeles.

Bella Vintage shopping trip was also a huge success and can't wait to start posting all the fabulous vintage finds starting this week!

with that said we also have big news for our blog; we are changing homes! our blog will now be living in WordPress. i have been brainstorming on the growth of Bella Vintage along with a re-vamp and marketing for our store and social sites. i came to the conclusion for our blog site after i compared blogger VS wordpress and felt this would be beneficial to our growth; especially since i LOVE how much more user friendly wordpress is.


please bear with us through this transition which i hope will be a smooth one. i'm currently working on being able to transfer all my past blog post and followers without any glitches. meanwhile please check out future blog post here at bellavintageblog.wordpress.com. i will be starting to post as of tomorrow at our new blog home, so excited!


UPDATE: hi guys..the task above is way to much for me to take on right now. SORRY for any confusion but i need to focus on shop updates, marketing and since i also work at Misha LuLu right now it's allot on my plate. i'm staying put with blogger for now, i know the in's and out's of it. thanks for your patience on my little work roller coaster ride!

A LITTLE QUIET ON LE BLOG

Happy Wednesday guys! i know it's been pretty quiet on le blog my week started up quite eventful with my mom's surprise visit from Vegas on Monday. it was nice seeing her and seeing pictures of her trip to Honduras which i'll share later about, so needless to say i was unable to blog. then yesterday i built my dress form which was a nightmare because the large metal spring which is suppose to slide to the bottom wouldn't; it was stuck and i battled with it for an 1 hour 1/2..i was pooped and had calluses on my hand from it, good news i got it unstuck after almost coughing up a lung..

and today i started to concentrate on shooting as much items as possible so i can update the shop steadily for the next two weeks with a good 100 items; having the form now will help that goal finally become a reality! i will still have live models because i like showing both perspectives as i mentioned on a previous post but i will get ahead of the game getting as much inventory up as possible in the shop.

it will be quiet on the blog for the next two days, but i will be back to regular blogging this weekend..thanks to you all who support my blog!

Happy Wednesday! i know i say this every week but i'm so glad there is only two days left for the weekend! i wanted to do a big blog post but i'm tired and just want to read and go to bed..i have been beat this week not sure why, but i'v practically have been falling asleep on my way home from work..so blog post will come tomorrow..

in some Bella news, i will be making some changes to the pictures for the shop..i've realized working full time and being a single mom i have very limited time to work during the week on le shop..it's hard only having the weekend to book models to do big shoots, re-vamping the vintage and preparing them to post in Etsy..it's well over 8 hours a day of work, so i will be using a half and halfer..showing the clothing styled on models (like we do now) and on a dress form..this will take a huuuge weight of my shoulders and will make life easier for me to work within my hectic schedule and not lose time in posting new items.

from the very beginning i always intended to use a dress form and bought one back in 2003 for that purpose..i never did start my shop right away and unfortunately my form got pretty beat up between moves..but i'm excited now to get a professional one not only for the shoots but for my own creations! yay! it gets here Monday and i can't wait to start shooting with it!

any opinions on dress forms vs live models..i think both work in my opinion..i feel you get one point of view seeing it on a model styled and the other view is seeing the clean lines of the garments on the dress form best..but input is always welcome!

BELLA NEWS

Yay Happy Thursday! i am quite impressed i stayed on track with my blog..that was one goal i had set up for this week and am happy to have accomplished it. next is my store, really it should come first but it's tough when i only have about three hours at night to work on it. but with only one more month left before Zoe gets back, I need to get on track on all the updates and squeeze in as much work as possible. it gets allot more hectic when the full load of juggling motherhood, full time job and part time job are in full swing.

i do have a few announcements to tell. i am working on one of my biggest updates ever, with over 80 items being photographed with a new model next weekend. this whole weekend is my time of preparation and i am excited! the model is the cutest blogger and has many amazing talents, which you'll hear more about next week.

a wonderful friend and graphic designer is currently building and designing our landing page for bellavintageshop.com! it will be a nice addition for the easier navigation to our shop, blog and social sites. it will also have an about me section which will be nice to share my story on how i got into vintage clothing and into fashion design. it also paves the way to eventually setting up shop with a few of my own designed pieces (but that's still a bit down the road)..

i also will be taking the time to finally finish more designs for my skeleton key necklaces that i hope to hit the shop by next week. i will have a variety of designs, long pieces, short pieces and in different metals, yay..



i'm looking forward to Renegade Craft Show this weekend. i hope to meet bloggers and some of my favourite crafters. i will for sure be taking lots of photos and finally revive "My Week In Pictures" post once again..

Happy Tuesday all! i was excited to hear that our adorable model Stephanie has been in recent editorials other then Bella for some brands the company we work for designs. unfortunately i don't have the prints to show off because they are copy righted and protected, but i wanted to toot her horn and say how cute she looks in the ads. our company has a brand called Hoodie Buddie, which some of you might have heard of already. for those who haven't, it is hoodies with built in head phones compatible for most all music players. Zoe loves hers, it's pretty much the perfect invention for a teenager!

Happy Sunday all! i have a full day ahead of me, scarfing down my food while i blog, drink my coffee and make a playlist for todays photo-shoot..i had a late start, i went to sleep at 6 a.m. working on re-vamping vintage dress's...i got carried away watching movies while working, time just flew...i was bummed because i missed Reality LA my home church and picking up my dress at the Melrose Flea market..BUT i am excited to be shooting with Steph today, i have an array of cute dress's picked out and cant wait to get them in the shop this week!

YAY! I'M BACK ON LINE...

i am so happy to be back on line again! it's been almost a whole month since i have been able to check e-mails, do updates and all together be able to work on my computer..fortunately i was able to salvage my pictures and some accounting files before i had to start over again and wipe out my computer and start from scratch! i wasn't able to retrieve all BUT i'm so so glad i was able to save my pictures though..if i only would of been backing up to an external hard drive this whole time i would have not lost half my files..LESSON learned in a bad way and a warning to you all to back up your files!

now it's catching up time, much needed blogging and shop updates..sleepless nights are in order this weekend so we can get back on track for bella!

i'll be back tomorrow for my first blog update and i'm all smiles!!
